Customizing Seeded Oracle BI Publisher Report

In this article, we will explore the steps to customize the seeded Person User Information report in Oracle Fusion Applications.

To begin, log in to Oracle Fusion Applications and navigate to Reports and Analytics. Upon accessing the Reports section, the URL will be structured as follows:

https://<InstanceDomain>.fa.us2.oraclecloud.com/analytics/saw.dll?catalog

The first step in customizing the seeded Person User Information report is to locate its path within Oracle Fusion Applications.

The path for this report is: /shared/Human Capital Management/Workforce Management/Human Resources Dashboard

By navigating to this location in Reports and Analytics, we can access the existing report structure and begin the customization process.

To customize a report in Oracle Fusion Applications, it is essential to log in using Server Mode. In Normal Mode, the customization options will not be available.

Below are the key screens observed during this process:

User/Application Mode:

Server/xmlpserver Mode:

By accessing the report in Server Mode, users can make necessary modifications and enhancements while ensuring compliance with system permissions.

Click on Customize button and save the report in Custom folder path.

This would open the report by creating a copy of the report with same path in Custom folder and the report will be ready for uploading custom layouts by using seeded data model.

Note: If you are not able to find ‘Customize’ option, you need to add “BI Administrator Role” role to your login. You cannot assign “BI Administrator Role” directly to your login, you need to create a custom abstract role and inherit seeded “BI Administrator Role” and assign the custom role to your login.
